Lake Carolyn Promenade
The City of Irving TIF Board would like to announce the Lake Carolyn Promenade development. Located on the Southeast shore of beautiful Lake Carolyn in Las Colinas, the Lake Carolyn Promenade will meld the around-the-corner convenience, and cultural richness of urban living with the placid, natural beauty of a lakeshore retreat.
The Promenade will meander along the edge of Lake Carolyn, bordered by lush greenery. Clever winding bends and subtle changes in elevation will delight the lakeside visitor at every turn as the promenade path travels from low overlooking knolls, right down to the water's edge. Amidst colorful flowering shrubs and tree lined walks one will discover dazzling fountains, sculpture, and tree shaded resting areas nestled on the shore. At night the entire promenade walk will be fully illuminated in a manner that will provide security, yet not detract from the beauty of an evening stroll by the water.
The Promenade is planned for a phased development, beginning with the lakeside trail, new features and amenities will be added along the way. Future Promenade plans feature plaza areas, perfect for small performances, festivals, and arts exhibitions.
Residential areas will over look the water and offer step-out accessibility to the lake and the promenade. Nearby shopping and conveniences will place everyday necessities just a short, relaxing walk from one's doorstep. Just to the East the existing transit mall offers clean, efficient transportation through out the Metroplex via DART Rail.
